Community Guidelines

Building a helpful and respectful farming community together

Welcome to the AgricKonnect community! Our platform is designed to help Nigerian farmers connect, share knowledge, and grow together. These guidelines help ensure our community remains a safe, respectful, and valuable resource for all members.

Core Principles

Respect & Kindness

Treat every member with respect, regardless of their experience level, location, or farming practices. Remember, we're all here to learn and grow.

Accurate Information

Share information that is truthful and based on your genuine experience or reliable sources. If you're uncertain, it's okay to say so.

Constructive Dialogue

Focus on helping others solve problems. Offer constructive feedback and practical solutions rather than criticism without value.

Community First

Prioritize the collective good of our farming community. Share your knowledge generously and support fellow farmers in their journey.

What We Encourage
  • Ask questions freely - No question is too basic. We all started somewhere.
  • Share your experiences - Your real-world farming experience is valuable to others.
  • Provide context - Include details like your location, crop type, and growing conditions when asking for help.
  • Use clear titles - Make your post titles descriptive so others can find and help.
  • Search before posting - Your question might already have been answered.
  • Thank helpful members - A simple "thank you" goes a long way in building community.
  • Share success stories - Inspire others by sharing what worked for you.
  • Use local languages - Feel free to post in English, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, or Pidgin.
What We Don't Allow
  • Harassment or abuse - No personal attacks, insults, or threatening behavior.
  • Spam or self-promotion - Don't use the community solely to advertise your products or services.
  • Misinformation - Don't deliberately share false or misleading agricultural advice.
  • Discrimination - No content that discriminates based on ethnicity, gender, religion, or region.
  • Illegal activities - No content promoting illegal farming practices or products.
  • Inappropriate content - Keep all content safe for work and family-friendly.
  • Duplicate posts - Don't post the same question multiple times across categories.
  • Off-topic discussions - Keep discussions relevant to farming and agriculture.
